Built for active-duty voluntary retirement and separation. Guard/Reserve (including gray-area retirement, where retired pay starts around age 60 rather than the month after separation), medical retirement/IDES, and involuntary separation follow different rules — the dates and pay figures here will not be correct for those paths. Use them as a rough frame only and confirm everything with your career counselor.
